my monitor is plugged in through an hdmi receiver so most 'exotic' stuff like 120hz would probably not have been supported anyway, so i never researched too much into that other monitors, sorry. i basically bought the 27 1080 cheapest best rated one and done.

i think the asus monitor for the price was ok, but it didn't impress me in any way. and again, if you sit close to your monitor you should not buy 1080p on 27 inches. it was right for my use case, but if you dont have exactly that, i think you can get something better.

I sit about 3+ feet from my monitor.
