There is no such thing as future proofing. A 980 Ti is the best you can do to run all your games until the next card comes out. So if you want to play games at great frames this is the only option you have till mid 2016.

My hopes for this card is that will last at least 2 years for the money invested, maybe mid 2017.
When i say "future proofing" is in a way that the card run the upcoming games on max settings.
By the way, should i keep my gtx 670 for physx ?

what brand should i get, gigabyte g1 or the palit super jetstream
the g1 costs 679 the palit costs 691.
But seen the review from techpowerup the palit have better oc, temps and acoustics with 40db for g1 and 31db for palit

if you want it to last into 2017 the 980ti is about the only way to go. if you want a more temporary stop a 970 would preform fine at 1080. either way don't bother with the dedicated physx card.

I would buy the Palit Super Jetstream (out of the box, it already has a decent overclock)

My struggling right now is that i can buy Gigabyte G1 cheaper than the Palit SJS.
All around the gigabyte are more expensive, but i found a G1 at a lower price.

No matter what your choice, you're getting a 980Ti and spending a good chunk of change in doing so. I don't see your problem. Spending a few dollars more when you're already spending $600-$700 should not make a difference, but if you need it spelled out.......you need to make a decision as to what's more important, minimal performance increase versus minimal price decrease. rolleyes.gif

By the way im planning to buy the Palit Super Jetstream i think is a good choise for what its cost.
Is the cheapest of all brands (custom cooler).
Any brand and model is a safe bet. I prefer the Gigabyte but I have heard good things about the Palit. thumb.gif

Do the current batch of 980 Ti graphics cards still have that problem where if you use more than 3.5 GB of memory on the card the performance goes down?
