I actually agree with that. Yet somehow I went ahead and got the 980. My reasoning was that I want to reserve the option to move to a 1440p monitor so I figured the 970 might struggle (I know, I change the assumption in my original post, but its all a thought process in the end). I did look at the 980ti but it was another $150+ and I felt that I already exceeded my requirements as is. At least I know that I should not have *any* issues running FO4 on the 1200p monitor, that's for sure. Thanks for helping me think it out.

Got the GTX 980 today. I've only benched it so far on 3DMark using Fire Strike, here is the difference:
EVGA GTX 670 FTW Sig2 (2GB) : 6243
EVGA GTX 980 GAMING SC (4GB) : 11642

So in theory, this card is ~2x the performance on my 1920x1200 monitor. Time to buy Crysis 3 I reckon! biggrin.gif
