Oppo PM3 ($500), schiit Magni/modi ($200) Mind blowing experience

Slightly LESS mind blowing experience with OPEN headphones this time, Schiit stack + HD 598 or HIFIMAN HE400S

For gaming, those Oppo PM3s are going to blow your mind. The noise floor is SOOOO low and the bass is SOOO full and detailed. They are also mind bendingly spectacular for movies. It sounds like you're at an IMAX cinema.

HD800? LOL. At that level, headphones need a $1000 class amplifier to sound their best. If you want to pay $1200 for flat lifeless sound, get no amp or a cheap amp and HD800s.

HD600 and 650 can be run off a much lesser amp like a Schiit Magni.
