Ultimate gaming rig with OC potential 1200$~

So i have put this gaming rig together... and i wonder if u guys can tell me if it's okay or noway rolleyes.gif

I am not sure the motherboard is a good one, i would like the best motherboard for around 165$.
I did some research on the motherboard and they say it's a 10 phase motherboard can u guys tell me if thats true.

About the other parts, i think i stay with the AMD GPU cause of it's performance.
But feel free to configure everything else on how the build eventually should look like.

PS: I would like to OC kinda max (max with air cooling) . So you need to ensure it's overclock ready.

I can not navigate that website to because google refuses to translate.

My suggestion would be to just get a different cooler.

Also, do you already have a case? I did not see it in there.

I have my case yes, i use my old antec ninthousand.

Here are my parts...

Update: Been searching a bit around for comparison on the GPU performance 970GTX VS AMD R9 390 ...
If u guys have any suggestions bout that or whats the better GPU feel free to post it.

- Also what do u guys think bout these parts, any good combo (best parts i can get for that money), and is that motherboard i am using really the best board for overclocking/gaming?

Scythe Mugen 4 => Noctua NH-D14 is okay then i suppose...
artnr. 626558 : Price a € 39,89 or $43,98 => atm Noctua NH-D14

- Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra 0.15 ml => not getting
artnr. 425975 : Price € 10,42 or 11,48$

- Seasonic G-650 => think its a good PSU comments on it would be nice
artnr. 550166 : Price € 119,0 or 131,21$

- ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming => How about this motherboard, any good?
artnr. 843617 :Price € 152,90 or 168,59$

- Corsair Vengeance LPX
artnr. 839930 : Price € 57,72 or 63,64$

- MSI Radeon R9 390 Gaming 8G
artnr. 834183 : Price € 358,90 or 395,74$

- Samsung 850 EVO Series
artnr. 794627 : stukprijs a € 94,90 or 104,64$

- Intel Core i5-6600K / 3.5 GHz => okay i gues?
artnr. 837548 : Price € 265,90 or 293,19$

Total € 1.099,63 or 1 212,51$

Thanks in advance wink.gif

Some points:

1) Do you plan to delid it?

Otherwise the Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra is very expensive (even if excellent). And Im not sure about the material from the base of the mugen 4. Is it aluminium or nickel? If its aluminium the Liquid Ultra will destroy it because of the gallium.

2) Anyways you should consider a better cooler. The mugen 4 is good but I think you can get something better. For example a Noctua NH-D14 / 15.

3) 650w is overkill for one gpu. Has this shop the Evga 550w G2 or the Coolermaster V550? Both are excellent power supplies.

4) Get the Sapphire Nitro 390 (if the shop has it). It is a very good card. The 390 is faster than the Nvida 970 (not by much) and most of the time cheaper aswell. Only downside is it is more power hungry but I don't think this is a big issue after all. The 970 has the 3,5gb Vram issue anyways.

What do you mean with delid it? I plan to overlock it but i think u mean something else... smile.gif feel free to explain.

Thanks for the advice, i will go for the amd one. Will search for some benches on amd gpu's.
I used to always have a sapphire smile.gif, so im fine with that.
For the thermalpaste i think i will use standard paste that came with the cooler. => because i really think it's overhyped tongue.gif.
I have currently a coolmaster B600 600W ATX23, but i've been told it's a budget PSU.

Maybe i will stay with the PSU i posted (i mean in the list i have posted).

- Also what do u guys think of the motherboard?

Thanks

Any more advice from experienced users is welcome smile.gif

"Gaming" motherboards are the biggest joke in terms of trends in PC's that I have seen in 15-20 years. They cost more, but offer little to genuinely justify that cost. The exception to this rule is ASRock, who price their gaming boards reasonably.

I would suggest that you just pick up the ASUS Z170-A which is quite a lot cheaper, and will do everything you need. The last 3 generations of "A" boards from ASUS have been very solid. They give you what you need, and nothing you don't. They also overclock respectably across the board.

Antel nine hundred (there is no antec nine thousand) is a decent case but it is very very very old. I don't really feel like it can compete with modern cases for airflow or ease of use. A Corsair 200R, for about $60 US dollars is very respectable and is a dream to build in. I recommend it.

Also, I agree on the suggestion of the 550W EVGA G2 power supply. Those are very solid. Also good is the 550 and 650W Seasonic SSR or "G series" gold rated units.

650/20 is fine for a 390, change the cooler, get a non-gayming board, corsair memory is overpriced, not sure about that SSD.
That's all from me.
Apart from the shameless "Go MATX!" and "Check out my Sig Rig" shill.

Delidding is a thing since Ivy Bridge because the IHS (heatspreader of the Cpu) and the DIE of the cpu are not soldered anymore. Intel decided to use thermal compound since then but it is awful. So you can remove the IHS and replace it with your own thermal compound. Liquid Ultra is pretty much the only choice because other pastes degrade over time in this case.
.
As a result you can reduce temperatures by up to 20°C.
But the process of delidding is dangerous for the cpu. A simple mistake can cost you the whole cpu and I heard delidding is even harder with skylake. You can look it up if you want but I would be really careful. Don't do it if you are not sure or don't even need it.

The 650w g2 is fine. But if you want to save some bucks you can do it by buying the 550w one which is completly fine for one gpu.

The best cooling solution would be the Noctua NH-U14S i think if u see this benchmark it comes out as the best air cooler in the list.

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/CPUCooling/772

@pandora: Still i think your posted cooler is better then mine, so i will stick with your suggestion smile.gif... it's an extra fan so normally it would cool better.
Im suprised of this score, maybe the values our incorrect. I have no clue.
