I currently have windows 8 installed on my main SSD that has 125GB space. I have 2 additional storage drive, a 3TB HDD and another 120GB SSD.

With the OS installed on the main SSD, i decided to transfer the users folder and data (including App data) to the HDD through a symbolic link (i think). It was a complicated process but its been working pretty well for 2 years. The only problem is that I cant do certain updates and couldnt upgrade to windows 8.1 through microsoft as i guess the syymbolic link caused some conflict.

I tried upgrading to windows 10 this mornign straight from the microsoft guide as I figured id give it a shot before i lose the ability to upgrade for free. It seemed like it upgraded fine but when I tried logging in it would restart and take me to advanced recovery. I tried whatever i could without having to "Reset" and lose all my data so i gave up and resorted back to the "Previous build" which brought my computer back to the state before i decided to upgrade.

I currently only have programs I need opened and frequently used on the main os ssd such as drivers, MS office and other desktop tools. The HDD has the user folder and documents, some games i dont really play and the bulk of my media such has movies and games. The 2nd SSD has games but i havent really utilized it much.

With that said, If i were to retry the upgrade and choose the option to "reset" and delete apps and data (assuming its only doing it on the main SSD with the OS installed), will it keep the data from other drive intact and let me move the folder to another HDD with more ease?
