I pre-order so I can have it pre-downloaded and don't have to wait an hour when it actually comes out redface.gif

I'm a little biased towards them, but it is justified considering they're not intentionally screwing the customer. Its just a side outcome of doing what they did with the game. Besides I got it all inclusive for $75 on a sale with all DLC's which I feel is more than worth for such a game.

No matter how you spin it a 10Gb patch is just insane. And $75? Damn, I didn't even pay that for my GTAV pre-order on PC.

True, but I felt t was worth after plying the game.

Would early access also count? Because I bought into 3 of them already this year (Factorio, Armored Warfare and RimWorld). But there was no NDA so I know what I was getting because I watched some gameplay first.

Anyway, I'm still gonna stay away from the big mainstream titles because they still have terrible value. Factorio was 15$ and I played it for 150 hours already, and since it's still getting developed I'll definitely go back to it again to play with all the new features added.

I only pre-order on games I know for a fact I will enjoy. The games I have on pre-order atm are Halo 5 and Fallout 4. I am not going to wait and have the Halo 5 story spoiled for me( had a lot of Halo 4 spoiled on multiple different sites ), plus I am a big Halo fan( played all the games and have read all the novels ). Fallout 4 I will be going to a midnight release to pick up my copy and then play it for 2 days straight at my friends house just like I did with Skyrim. I will not pre-order games though that I am iffy about.

And with Bethesda's track record, you still will trust them with a properly playable game after all the game breaking bugs in Skyrim that had to fixed by the community? rolleyes.gif

I don't care if it's 100GB as long as it improves my experience.

That's what patches are for.

This. Just to list a few.

"I want to play before everyone and I want to play it. NOW!"

"This game is awesome no matter what's wrong with it and how broken it is. I refuse to listen to anyone opinions/criticism and I'll insult you until you bow down to my game."

That's what patches are for.

Actually patches just show devs are being rushed too much and don't have the time to properly test the game.

Sony and MS should just raise the patch pushing price (MS had something similar in place, not sure if they still do) so publishers know they need to pay more if they still rush the dev to damn much.

Of course pre-orders are up. Steam didn't offer three-click refunds in 2014.

Ehh I hate to be that guy but...I'd say PS4 and XBO owners are doing most of the pre-ordering now.

They are largely unaware of what is happening in the wider game industry.
