[VB] Even though Gamers said they would stop, Game pre-orders are up 24% in 2015 - Page 4

I only pre-ordered 2 games this year FFX HD for the Ps4 and Fallout 4 pip-boy edition for my wife. I really don't do a whole lot of pre-ordering so it's not me....I know a guy who is a pre-order junkie.

According to this thread, i'm a stupid gamer because i pre-ordered games games i knew for a fact i would purchase on release day anyway. The difference is i got some extra goodies, like 3 whole games for pre-ordering Bioshock Infinite or season passes for ALL DLC, like in Battlefield 3 and 4. You know, added value for games i thoroughly enjoyed and ended up playing for hundreds (and even thousands) of hours.

Yup, feeling the stupidity right about now.

A lot of times my preorder is done just a day or two before when there is some review(s) out and if it is favorable, then I get it while there is still some discount or preorder bonus.

Sony and MS should just raise the patch pushing price (MS had something similar in place, not sure if they still do) so publishers know they need to pay more if they still rush the dev to damn much.
Do you honestly think this would result in anything else then broken games with publishers refusing to patch them at all cause of money?

and by the time the game reach $10, it will already be patched out most of the bugs and will run flawlessly. biggrin.gif

cheap game bug free, not to mention 1-2years from the game release, u could even save money from GPU, because any mid-end GPU 1-2yrs from now can max out everything. biggrin.gif

It's just 1 garbage image and that's it.

This is literally just 1 image with 6 numbers. It might a well be related to milk consumption.
It says orders and revenue... that is all there is.

I preorder games when I'm interested in them so I can play a few days earlier or get whatever silly incentives (keychain/in game pet/hat/etc.) they happen to be offering.

What else am I going to do with my money, save it?
