Why did you ditch PC gaming?

Thread Starter
Like the title says. Why did you ditch PC gaming? Obviously, if you're a PC gamer this thread does not apply to you, and you should troll elsewhere.

I know there are a lot of us here who used to be die-hard PC gamers, but now enjoy a more simple console/mobile-based life. What made you decide to make the switch?
In the process of switching to console gaming. What is making me switch is the fact I work stupid hours 3pm to midnight and it's hard to go home fire up the pc and play games after work. I find I tend to play a little bit on the Ps4 before work even then it feels like a chore to play something. I do most gaming stuff on my phone on the way to work since I don't have a license.....my wife works at the same place and does all the driving.

I also find that 99% of the people at my work that do co-op gaming it's on the X1 or the Ps4. So it's easier to use my Ps4 to play games with people online then it is for me to use my pc to game.

I play both PC and PS4. I find that the console is mindlessly easy to play. You pick up a controller and play right away. It pisses in my wheatie's when an update screen comes up on the PS4.... That's the main reason I play it, no worry of updates and all..

For me it was cost. Console gaming is far cheaper. I know that pc has far better graphics and even more so with mods but to me it just does not justify spending 4x what it costs to play on a console.

I did not ditch it completely, I just don't game as much as I used to. Now most of my free time is taken up by my 10 month old daughter smile.gif but occasionally I do play a game or two, just not as much as I used to...

For me, there are few computer games I wanna play anymore. When I was younger I'd play BF2 or Command And Conquer Generals. Good times.

Don't really like lot of the games that are coming out now.

Most of my friends have an X1 instead of a gaming pc so I sold my rig and bought X1s for me and my nephews. I also got an XIM4 so i could play with K&M. The graphical difference can be pretty big but the games are still enjoyable and most of the time I don't notice because I'm too involved in the game.

I still play my PC a couple times a year, literally. My SLI 980 setup is great for browsing the web. tongue.gif

I don't play games much anymore since I work 60 hours nearly every week. The last thing I want to do is come home and deal with broken drivers or a buggy game that wants to run poorly.
I'm ironically not a graphics snob, if the game looks decent and isn't blurry then I don't mind.

I'd say I play it more also because of friends and exclusives, I have a dozen IRL friends who own a PS4, whereas on PC I only have 2.
I play Destiny mostly, if I get an Xbox One I'll be playing Halo, Forza, and Gears of War, none of which are available on PC. I'm not into LoL, Dota, CS, WoW, etc. so PC currently has nothing to offer me.

The other bonus to console is there's not any ESP/wallhack users that sneak into your server and all your games are generally very solid performers at launch.

I also agree with Draygonn. I also use a XIM4 from time to time, when you're stomping people you're too into the game to notice any graphical difference anyways.
