wow impressive and this time with a good pice.

Is there any information about the Corsair RMX 550w? Is it as good as this one or the Evga 550w g2? That would be interesting.

IMO the RMx series is right there with the G2, and the 1000 watt is better for several reasons (idle fan profile, black cables mainly, better price). the 550 and 650 watt apparently are held up so they will be arriving late for sale/reviews. I wouldn't expect the 550 watt to be much different from the ones reviewed already. it's relative value will come down to pricing. the 550 G2 sells for $90 and sometimes $80. and unlike the 1K+ watt G2 units it's got nice black cables, is super quiet and all japanese caps. it will be interesting to see if the RMx 550 will match up at a similar price. look at us with all these excellent power supplies to choose from. great time to be a consumer.

The bad - it's ugly with that giant sticker on both sides, not on the same level as EVGA G2/P2/T2 but still ugly. An "embroidered" logo, at least on one side like Super Flower does, would make this PSU decent looking. And, I still don't trust CWT when it comes to coil noise. I'll wait a few months to see if the coil noise strikes again. Here is the same price as Leadex Gold which is nice to see, considering every Corsair PSU before was overpriced, including RMi.

Thanks.
Well the 550w one is already available in germany and it costs around 90 euro while the Evga g2 unit costs 100-110 euro.
With that price it beats out even the Coolermaster V550. Atleast for me because it is fully modular vs semi modular.

But It has to be as good as the 1000w unit wink.gif
