Its actually you that cherry pick benchmarks. GTX 780 are leaps ahead GTX 960 in 1080p in average over 20+ games. In 1080p its 25% ahead while in 1440p its 30% ahead due to better bandwidth.

With the latest drivers 780 obliterates 960

I think picking a video card involves picking a monitor 1st. Putting a 980 on 1080 monitor may be a little bit of a waste ?

This.

Especially if the monitor you want to buy (or already have) has either FreeSync or G-Sync. That right there will automatically make your card choice very easy.

If you own a G-Sync monitor, you'd be an idiot to buy an AMD card. Likewise, if you already own a FreeSync monitor, you'd be an idiot to by an nVidia card.

Isn't that a goal of corporations? To be profitable? They can't all be like AMD and have successive losses and still survive by selling themselves on the side. That's like saying Joe Philbin should still be head coach for the Dolphins...

Then again, just like sports teams, some people have blind obsessions based on emotional fervor that are extremely rigid and will never bend to how reality is.

honestly, this doesn't even make sense... and they say that amd has bad drivers while nvidia has better drivers than amd, but then you look at things like this and it's just very sad mad.gif
