You know ads are wonderful when during those stupid talk shows the host comes on, says some things then says "we'll see you back after these commercials". LOLWUT? Just had the pleasure of watching 10-15 minutes of adverts, the host summarises what the viewer has just seen as if the viewer is too dumb to do it themselves, and then the show goes to adverts. And this is when a two hour film like Terminator ends up being 5 hours long because there are adverts every 30 seconds.

While Europe isn't this bad the US make a mockery of themselves with this stupidity. I thought paid subscriptions like Hulu were better but I see I was mistaken and those greedy fools want to milk their paying customers as much as they can.

Anyone in doubt as to where Youtube Red will go needs to look at Hulu and see the fun they are in for. They will have the pleasure of paying to watch adverts. If it works on TV and they can scam you for all you're worth why not online where they can sell your private information to make triple what they'd make otherwise? Epic win for that guy sitting at the top calling us all useless eaters.

That would only go up if your ISP pays every website you visit.

Maybe adblockers are a reason for even more ads.

adblock users = less ad income
less ad income = more ads needed

Sometimes maintaining a website is a full time job and people use it to earn their full income.
Blocking ads simply cancels all revenue a website makes, making you a ''leecher''

Maybe people who run/maintain websites should stop relying on advertising as their source of income. I know, who'da thunk it, right?

I pay for my device
I pay for the DATA to my device
I pay for the POWER consumption my device uses (Charging, Or just running off mains)
I pay for my land line
I pay for the equipment in my house to provide it.

When the people displaying ads starts paying for a portion of all my upkeep costs to keep the device going, ANd then finds a way to display the ad without draining my battery, Making the page load longer, Consuming my time, Are malware free and don't distort the page in anyway.

Then and only then, Will i disable my adblock.

and the point of my post was to display S. Korean TV practices are basically what people desire here. The only ads that take place are in between shows and they are quick and to the point and boom, next showing.

It wasnt to LOL@Hulu

Websites don't run themselves. They have their own bills.

Everybody has to pay to play. You aren't the only actor in that transaction, and the cost is absorbed by persons in addition to you.
