My friend ask me to build him a Gaming PC, he doesnt want to spend more than £950 . He plays games like Rome II, Company of Heroes 2 and hes waiting for the new Warhammer game to come out so loads cpu power is required as his FX-8350 @ 4.5Ghz doesnt always cope. He needs Motherboard, Cpu, Ram, Cooling and a Graphics card. He will be using Corsair Carbide Spec 03 for the case, he's got Corsair 650Watt Gold PSU and a 1TB HDD. I've came up with 4 options but not sure what to go with.

1. http://www.scan.co.uk/savedbasket/948df032-fff8-439e-936e-e5482168b33e

2. http://www.scan.co.uk/savedbasket/1c817471-c410-4995-a4f6-2b9e34d10529

My best bet would be option number 1 and overclock the CPU but not sure if I could overclock the CPU that high with that Cooling or option number 4 and overclock the card.

Whats your thoughts? Thanks smile.gif

I also like #1 with a small overclock, or #4 with the option to add a 2nd 970 later. The 650W power supply should just be enough.

I dont think he will be upgrading in next 2 years as hes buying that PC on finance and I think 2x R9 390 would be better for that anyway due to more VRam on each card smile.gif
