Need tips on how to get 2400mhz stable on my DDR3 Memory

Thread Starter
I have an overclocked i7 4790K @ 4.7GHz but can only get the ram stable at 1866 which is the rated speed. I used to be able to do 2400MHz before. I probably am doing some settings wrong.

I would look at something like CPU-Z and figure out the timings in the table there. If it has that speed listed then the timings in the table below that speed should be stable. If it isn't listed, you probably have to loosen the timings enough for it to work. Also, keep an eye out on the command rate. It may run at 1T @ 1866 but need 2T above that speed.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231671 <- This RAM seems to be the same as your sig rig, but at DDR2400. I bet they have the same RAM chips. Try using the timings and voltage those sticks use, and be sure to set the 2T command rate. It most likely will work for you.
