Untangling braided wire with hair conditioner?

Ok, this might seems like a really stupid question
So ya would soaking my mouse wire in water with hair conditioner destroy my mouse/traces of water cause electrocution?
I would let it dry for like a week and even blow dry it. Worth a shot?

I used to use conditioner on lascrosse mesh to break it in and it worked well.

I dont get why braided is such a popular thing. I like my zowie Ec2 wire its really supple and doesnt kink.

As long as the cable is dried after, I think you would be fine. Just be careful near the ends.

Sounds like an interesting idea. Post the results.

Good luck.

I would cover the ends before putting the cable in water. Also, you need to be sure the cable isn't broken.

There was a thread about a guy who used paracord to sleeve his mouse cable; without the rubber, ofc. You should try it, i might try it too someday.

you can also get rid of the braid, leaving you with a rubber cable in the end.
I did this on Steelseries cable, a Deathadder 3.5G cable and a braided cable from corsair - it's worth it, but can take some time.
On one mouse i did it only ~50cm from where it leaves the mouse.
