It's unlikely they will add support for the G25/27 for this so they can get more G29 sales.

I'd be willing to bet that they support the 25/27. GT4 went way back in supporting some of the first PS1 wheels that were long out of production, and if I remember correctly, GT5 went pretty far back and supported old USB wheels that were out of production as well (I don't even think that the G-series were "officially" listed as supported wheels, they just kind of made them work stealthily with full features. I never got GT6, so I have no idea about that one. Basically, it's not up to Logitech to support the wheels, it's up to Sony/PD, so I don't think it's the wheel sales they care about.

Full G25 and 27 support came to GT5 in an update and was in GT6 from the start.

With the amount of time it takes for them to release games and the amount of staff they have, I don't see why they can't convert the older PS2 models into better models with a proper interior. A lot of the work will be easy, they have 21 Mazda NA MX-5s (2 with interiors), 11 Nissan R34 GTRs (2 with interiors), 9 Nissan R33 GTRs (1 with an interior), 13 Nissan R32 GTRs (1 with an interior) 18 Honda S2000s (2 with interiors).

They have already copied and pasted all of those cars but gave it a different paint colour, they should be able to copy and paste the interiors as well.
The thing is, they aren't really options.

I don't see how having a the same car 21 times but with different colour paint = more options.

I would rather have quality over quantity.

One of the reasons is how big of a pain in the butt it is to find the car to properly do the interior. Gonna have a hard time finding a '00 Spoon S2000 in mint condition someone is willing to donate or allow Polyphonic to borrow just to do a proper interior on it.

this is literally one of the things I hated about GT5. Why in God's name do I need two dozen versions of the same damn car, with only a few of them I'm going to drive because they're the premium models?

For Poly to announce the beta, we must be 'close' to the release date. Hoping for some beta gameplay footage. I always liked the physics and mechanics of GT games. They never baby you. For single player campaigns, i really hope the A.I. is much improved. Its the only real issue i've had with the series.

You mean my minimum standards of a game should be of that from 2010, is that too unrealistic/asking too much?

For a car list like theirs, absolutely. Just think of those cars as extra credit.

Makes me wonder why they half arsed GT6.....well at least they woke up and realized that Project CARS took most of the money right now and that Assetto Corsa is just that good overall when it comes to sim racing, along side iRacing.

Im a GT fan, I honestly cant wait for it. The community that revolves around it is huge and that alone makes the game unique and attractive to alot of us car guys. Of course, PD will end up cutting corners because its a console and can only do so much with the current hardware. Regardless, it should give Forza some really good spanks, even spank Project CARS. The reason I say it because GT games alone, when it comes to racing, its just dam fun and in some way realistic, not as realistic as Assetto Corsa but GT games have something other racing games dont have.

If they can manage to beat Project CARS when they fully release GT SPORT, P CARS is done and might have to release their P CARS 2 earlier. There is quite alot of angry people still around P CARS, ever since its release. I still play it from time to time and it has gotten better but the FFB is still just jibberish and everywhere.

Honestly, I cant wait for the game to release, thus making me sell my G27 and buying a G29 ( if it goes cheap) or buy a Thrustmaster T500 smile.gif

I think the one thing that makes Gran Turismo kill every other car game out there for me is the career mode, and that included the crazy S license stuff. It's just laid out perfectly, you always feel like you're progressing, and the tests/money feels extremely rewarding. I think that's why I hated Project Cars so much, I felt the career mode was awful.

GT is the best racing series ever made IMO but the whole "standard cars" fiasco was a huge letdown and disappointment. As always, the de rigeur criticism of GT's inclusion of 35 GT-R's at the exclusion of many other great cars is also a sore point with me and many others. As is, the GT franchise has just become very stale and I feel like I am still playing essentially the same game that debuted almost 20 years ago, just with prettier graphics and some extras thrown in. Kaz really needs to push his talented team to innovate and create a new paradigm rather than living on the successes of the past...

The way I drive in sims vs real life tracks are very different.

In my ideal world Sony would release Morpheus a month or so before the game. Putting ideal scenarios aside, i'm buying this as long as they don't pull the same crap as the previous game bc all other sims for consoles beside Forza suck ass.
