I've already explained this to you in another thread.

Oh wait, no they can't. The only exclusives that are out are either mediocre at best (based on Metacritic user reviews), not actually PS4 exclusives or they haven't actually been released yet.

I don't know about anyone else here, but I am super envious of PS4 owners. I've had several chances in the last 3 months to buy a PS4 and/or Xbone, but I chose to buy something else.

A lot of people who say the PS4 isn't actually that good on this forum have PCs worth $1000+ (some even spend $500+ just on watercooling). If they really were envious of PS4 or Xbone exclusives, they would buy a PS4 or Xbone along with those games.

Don't get me wrong the plot interests me enough, and if this were an actual standard game style I'd probably consider picking up, but as I guess I just can't understand the excitement for it with so little real info.

Every game you play or that exist tells a story to some extent, some moreso than others.

This type of gameplay style has it's place in the market distinctly different from movies. What Quantic Dream and Telltale games succeed in, is telling a dynamic story that changes around the player, or at the very least gives the appearence of a dynamic story, even if the story doesnt change much.

Personally, these games are better at story telling than movies are, mostly because I feel like I can alter the characters and the story itself. The game is dependant on me.

But there's no need for you to be concerned at all. Plenty of people are looking forward to this game. Those who aren't interested don't have to make a big deal out of it, just move along.

There is absolutely zero to be jealous of.. I'm not a kid who hopes he gets a console under the Christmas tree. I can easily go out and buy a ps4 to play it, so really not understanding the point? I also don't own TW3, either. I also don't have major hype for FO4 either, in fact I still haven't really properly played the FO3 or the others, either.

Basically see my response above. I think people are reading too much into what I'm trying to say about the excitement over this 'game'. I think a large part of me also dies when they show off these demo's as if the PS4 is some monster powered console and then having to wade through the tons of ps4 owners talking about graphics superiority, etc. in comments.. It's like when people say the ps4 is more powerful than xbone - sure it is. But that's like saying 'see, my 5hp gas scooter is faster than your 4hp scooter" Realistically so close it doesn't matter and both are quite frankly slow.

Until I see a proper game running and looking like that I don't want to hear anything about how good it looks. thumb.gif
Fine, I'm sorry if that's not the case. But the problem here is that games developed by certain devs or games that are part of a successful franchise (like FO 4) will always generate hype on people, sometimes for no reason at all. I agree with you that It was very little what has been shown about the game to generate that much of an expectation, but thats what games developed by Quantic Dreams generate. Just show me a trailer for the next GTA, and i'll be extremely hyped, even if the trailer only shows the wheel of a car spinning and at the end the "Grand Theft Auto VI" logo. Don't try to seek logic, it's part of our instinct as human beings.

Exactly. Thats why I consider "an act of envy" what they are doing, because why would you hate on a game you're not interested in? You can't say the games made by QD are bad just because you don't like them, thats stupid. I hate games like LoL or Dota, but I won't say they are bad or get into a LoL or Dota thread to hate, because I know it's a great game a lot of people enjoy and it's fine. Hating on a PS4 exclusive game is like hating on a famous youtuber, because screw it. Everyone knows why you do it.

Okay, at this point. I'm not sure you know what envy or jealousy is.

The definition of envy is:
Quote:
A feeling of discontented or resentful longing aroused by someone else's possessions.

The guy who says he would hate this game has already said he could buy a PS4 if he wanted to so he could get this game. That means, he isn't envious of this game being a PS4 exclusive, since I assume he can go out right now and buy a PS4 along with a pre-order of Detroit.

The definition of jealous is:
Quote:
Feeling or showing an envious resentment of someone or their achievements, possessions, or perceived advantages.

Basically the same as envious. See above.

"You can't form opinions on something you're not in some way invested in." Dumb argument, don't use it. Always happens in news threads.

I'm looking forward watching this game at twitch/youtube. All those recent interactive movies are god send for those platforms.

looks pretty good, but I'm guessing it's one of those interactive movie "games".
