[WCCFtech]AMD Omega 'Special Drivers' Version 2.0 release in November - Page 2

The feature list in the posted image were included in the Catalyst Omega release last year.

There are no details in the article or source about confirmed features for the Catalyst Omega 2.0 release, but I am with others and would like to see driver overhead improvements.

DX9 is equally horrible for both vendors. Nvidia improvements pertain only to 11.

Very important and not even mentioned. Nvidia still 50% faster in WoW and a decent list of other games because of a driver deficiency on the red side.

Thread cleaned.

This is a thread to discuss the new Omega driver for those who are interested not for another red vs green war to take place.

So please keep comments directly related to the driver.

Thanks.

Me hopes AMD allowz customers to get virtualization (Tablet/Laptop) via dGPU.. AMD havze hardware built inside APU/dGPU already...nVidia havze Software based virtualization only. Maybe give it away for free for some months... Its there doing nothing anyway

Do it AMD http://www.amd.com/en-us/press-releases/Pages/amd-unveils-worlds-2015aug31.aspx

No, that's motion interpolation, otherwise known as AMD Fluid Motion I believe. Some commercial video players might use it, but the free implementation for MPC is called BlueSky if you want to try it yourself:
http://bluesky23.yukishigure.com/en/BlueskyFRC.html

FYI AMD introduced this with the last Omega driver, and it's kind of a big deal... and Nvidia doesn't have anything comparable. But no one cares about video playback quality these days, so no-one even noticed sad-smiley-002.gif

I can't even watch a movie without Fluid Motion these days. Using MPC with the bluesky converter.
