Nope. I'm telling you, he looks at every single pack and finds issues. He is an expert at putting all the codecs together so none overlap and it works on every system with all hardware, software, and video in every possible configuration and setup. Aside from the UI it's literally perfect. I tried CCCP years ago, it did better than K-Lite obviously since anything would. But it didn't playback the video I wanted it to play in sync. Found Shark007 codecs after trying literally everything available and even reinstalling windows just to be sure. IT WORKED. Since then I've tested other solutions like VLC which have codecs built in and updated versions of these other codec packs. They all fail in one way or another. Be it with obscure formats, broken AVIs and other old shoddily converted videos, or even basic stuff like FLVs and MKVs. If it can't play every single format perfectly that the player can open then it's not perfect and it's not Shark007. Seriously, try to find something it won't play. Need to use FFDshow instead of LAV? (For SVP) Couple clicks and you're done! Want to have entirely different setups for 32 and 64 bit? Well it installs 32 and 64 (used to be separate, but merged into one installer earlier this year) Still on ermm... WIndows XP? Or even.. *sweats* VIsta??? Well stop that, but yes Shark007 makes versions for those. Need to change settings for ffdshow audio and video? His control panel has a drop down box to shortcut you to the settings for everything like that. You name it, it does it. Have an issue or bug? (I've only ever had three? in 5 years). Post on the Forum. SHark007 will help you out and report to the makers of any involved components any bugs he finds (LAV had a subtitle bug, he reported it and next week, a new version with the fix was released, which he used in a new release a few hours later fast turnaround!). If you want to have him add something just sk. He's reasonable and takes suggestions seriously. Except about the UI. He doesn't seem to realize how bad it is... haha redface.gif

It's stuff you don't expect from other codec packs that his can do. It's impressive. Like playing draft version 10 bit h.265 encoded videos and thumbnailing them flawlessly. Did I mention he pairs up with a program called Icaros for the ultimate video playback, thumbnailing solution? Icaros thumbnails everything perfectly in higher quality and WAY faster than Windows built in thumbnailing does. It's true enthusiast grade guys. thumb.gif

LOL @ CCCP... You no longer need any codecs or any of this. If you want the best image quality, you absolutely have to have:

- MPC - HC or PotPlayer or JRiver Media Center
- LAV Filters
- ReClock
- madVR

Get them separately and select LAV Splitter, LAV Video, LAV Audio, ReClock, and madVR as Preferred External Filters in whichever player's options. That is it. These are also the basic components of the latest K-Lite Media Codec Pack, which simply does the above for you. These filters and renders together will play EVERY TYPE of media player out there, except for the newest .BIK Videos, which require RAD Video Tools.

There is absolutely NO BETTER setup for the best video and audio quality. madVR settings are a whole different topic on its own though.

I'm being nitpicky here, but Kodi is technically the best player for MadVR, as it can auto-select MadVR profiles based on the resolution and framerate of the video you're playing. tongue.gif

Also, Shark007 with the EVR renderer isn't that bad. I'd say I'm a video quality nut, and with 1080p high-bitrate live action, I can't see the difference between a properly set-up player with EVR and MPC/Kodi + MadVR with all of the sharpening/enhancements off.

Motion interpolation inserts extra frames to bring the content to 60 FPS, or whatever your refresh rate is. And it's more complicated than just blurring frames together: proper interpolation software/hardware analyzes the previous/next frame and generates a pretty good estimate of what the frames in between would theoretically look like.

The Omega drivers added AMD's version of that last time, and they might update it this time around.

Huh? you can use madVR in any way you want with MPC-BE, I'm pretty sure you can do what you're saying. I'd say my "low" High quality is 9000kbps 1080p, and upper is 16000kbps 1080p. MadVR I use the highest quality I can squeak out with SVP too.

Good example, but i personally prefer the season 1 opening.
SIE SIND DAS ESSEN, UND WIR SIND DIE JAEGER.

Anyway. Most of it was looking good, but on some places with Eren running for example, he seems to be moving like with super-sonic speed. Kinda not what the scene really looked like. Thanks t oboth of you, +rep. Learned something new today.
