Nope. I'm telling you, he looks at every single pack and finds issues. He is an expert at putting all the codecs together so none overlap and it works on every system with all hardware, software, and video in every possible configuration and setup. Aside from the UI it's literally perfect. I tried CCCP years ago, it did better than K-Lite obviously since anything would. But it didn't playback the video I wanted it to play in sync. Found Shark007 codecs after trying literally everything available and even reinstalling windows just to be sure. IT WORKED. Since then I've tested other solutions like VLC which have codecs built in and updated versions of these other codec packs. They all fail in one way or another. Be it with obscure formats, broken AVIs and other old shoddily converted videos, or even basic stuff like FLVs and MKVs. If it can't play every single format perfectly that the player can open then it's not perfect and it's not Shark007. Seriously, try to find something it won't play. Need to use FFDshow instead of LAV? (For SVP) Couple clicks and you're done! Want to have entirely different setups for 32 and 64 bit? Well it installs 32 and 64 (used to be separate, but merged into one installer earlier this year) Still on ermm... WIndows XP? Or even.. *sweats* VIsta??? Well stop that, but yes Shark007 makes versions for those. Need to change settings for ffdshow audio and video? His control panel has a drop down box to shortcut you to the settings for everything like that. You name it, it does it. Have an issue or bug? (I've only ever had three? in 5 years). Post on the Forum. SHark007 will help you out and report to the makers of any involved components any bugs he finds (LAV had a subtitle bug, he reported it and next week, a new version with the fix was released, which he used in a new release a few hours later fast turnaround!). If you want to have him add something just sk. He's reasonable and takes suggestions seriously. Except about the UI. He doesn't seem to realize how bad it is... haha
It's stuff you don't expect from other codec packs that his can do. It's impressive. Like playing draft version 10 bit h.265 encoded videos and thumbnailing them flawlessly
. Did I mention he pairs up with a program called Icaros for the ultimate video playback, thumbnailing solution? Icaros thumbnails everything perfectly in higher quality and WAY faster than Windows built in thumbnailing does. It's true enthusiast grade guys. Edited by cookieboyeli - 10/29/15 at 5:42am
