Lovely builds as I follow this thread (damn nice one with the monochrome album btw thumb.gif.

I among many of you love the aesthetics of the in win (eyeing the infinity); however, since I do not have the means of running custom, is it still viable to go on air alone?

I'll be doing a case swap replacing my Enthoo Evolv mATX.

Notable specs: 5820K @ 3.9 Turbo, Corsair H110i GT, EVGA Micro2 X99, planning to upgrade to the EVGA 1080 FTW.

A little hesitant with not only lack of PSU exhaust, but also the lack of exhaust in general (120 mm).

My current plan if I do jump the gun is:
  1. Intake: I'll have a Corsair GT 110i 280mm vertically mounted with 140 mm x 2 Phanteks PH-F140HPs pushing (these fans oddly only have 120mm mounting holes, will that be an issue in itself?)
    Phanteks PH-F140HP
    — 550 RPM (11 dBA@1m)
    — 700 RPM (12 dBA@1m)
    — 900 RPM (16~17 dBA@1m)
    — 1,100 RPM (22 dBA@1m)
    — 1,300 RPM (26~27 dBA@1m)
  2. Exhaust: Noiseblocker NB-BlackSilentPro PL-2 120mm
  3. Bottom: I have 2 WD Blacks that I use so I will be using the HDD cage unfortunately...or else I would definitely add two 120mm fans here.

Am I crazy to consider this case? I am a bit of a nut for temps and/or noise, but I can't help that I'm enamored by the aesthetic. redface.gif

I am wondering if the often seen mod of covering the PSU with a DIY shroud poses an issues for heat build up under there, given you are directly blocking the PSU fan?

so i have had this case for the last 6 months and i think i am happy with how it turned out.
instead of mounting the hdd on the back of the case mount it in the front, it seems like a weird idea but it looks really cool.
i am still looking at swiftech h220x, but i am not sure at this point.

If you're doing a custom loop in this case, is a 360 rad up front (after modding the mounting bracket) enough to sufficiently cool an OC'd 5820K and GTX 1080? I'm struggling to decide between the 805 and 303... I prefer the look of the 805, but I am concerned it may struggle with temps a bit? I'd also have to do a shroud mod to cover that PSU as having that exposed is the one aspect of the case I don't like.

I actually have the H115i and mounted my coincidentally 2x ek vardar f3-er as well in a push configuration. My 6800k OC'ed to 4.4 ghz hits max 68C on the Intel Stress Test and 55C when gaming.

so i finished my build with the inwin 805 infinity!, this case is so beautiful to look at!, however inwin still needs to do some work on the halo driver, getting issues with it showing a similar but wrong colour after shutdown, or it will randomly slow down the breathing after a while. also they need to get rid of that lip on the front radiator mount so the led strip provided can drop down it without doing an awkward curve which in my case i just got some longnose pliers and bent it back (not the prettiest job done). all i need now is my evga gtx 1080 ftw to come in the mail and im done!

Hello everyone, its a really great informative thread! I have a question about motherboard sizes...

According to the specs the 805 can fit a motherboard up to 12 x 10.5. I was wondering if it possible to stick a motherboard that measures 12 x 10.7 ? I was reading some reviews on newegg and a user did report he is using an extended atx on this case but he didn't elaborate on the size of this board.

Also I was wondering if it was possible to install a psu that is 225mm ?According to the specs it can only fit up to 220mm. This is an amazing case but I think my computer parts are just too big for this case. I'm hoping I can some how make this work.

Any insight would be appreciated

thanks!

SSI-EEB motherboard. You can also fit power supplies that are almost as long as you'd like, you're just going to have a tad harder time with the cables as you'll be blocking off the cable management holes.
