Which means aftermarket 980 Tis are all head and shoulders above their closest competition. And this is still the cut-down GM200 chip, but it's enough to crush the Fury X rather mercilessly. I honestly don't know if I should be more impressed by GM200 or disappointed by Fiji at this point. Maybe both. Either way, big-daddy Maxwell is a beast and Fiji is undoubtedly the least competitive flagship AMD have released since the 2900XT.

Hawaii's doing pretty well though.

I love mine. Holds 1500mhz stable no problem.

that would be great. thumb.gif

Graphics card reviews get posted in the news section all the time. There are usually threads with multiple reviews linked when a new card drops. How can you not know this?

well tahiti was just a legendary gpu, it just kept getting better with age and more mature drivers wink.gif

i mean Tahiti is just so good that if amd kept making it rather then retire it like it just did in this last round of rebrands it might be out performing the 980ti in 2 years at this pace. it's magical like that.

if the title had a graphics card listed in it, such as the 980TI lighting in the review, sure. but the title nor the OP has such information. it appears as promotion of a review site not information of a graphics card.

the title linked source is:

MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti Lightning 6GB

since it seems some need a reminder . .

Please use the following process when submitting overclocking news to Overclock.net:

Use a VERY descriptive title, same as the article's if possible. If the title is literally too long to fit in the proper field of the thread when posting it, then you are free to truncate it to something as close as possible to the original. We simply ask that you do not make up your own title if it can be helped as this is often done to add a side to the story that only the posting member intended, not the article's author (else the source site's editorial staff would have done that for you).

Quote the essential paragraph of the story BUT NOT the entire article unless the source permits you to do so (this is for legal reasons, lawsuits HAVE been filed about such things before, though not on/against overclock.net; a full article quote may make it appear as though we're trying to take credit for the article in some way). If the story is only a single paragraph or shorter in length then we may permit that entire paragraph, however if more than 3 sentences exist in said paragraph then we ask that only the essential portion be used.

TPU (though i do love them myself) using different bar graphs and a few benchmarks is not HARDWARE news . .what's so hard to understand?

We've put the reviewed card (980 Ti Lightning in this case) as 100% since forever, this makes it easy for people to understand the relative differences compared to the reviewed product.

The GTX 980 Ti reference does throttle a bit from time to time, it also has a much more limited boost range than the Lightning for example.

The following is for both cards at stock

AMD once again crushed. Were kind's getting used to that.
I wish amd could release a product that competes. Time for change.
