GPU Waterblock/ Bridge Compapability

Hey there everyone,

I'm hoping someone more knowledgeable might be able to help me out. I have x2 EK-FC R9-290X Matrix - Acetal+Nickel GPU water-blocks and I am wondering if it's compatible with a EK-FC Terminal DUAL Parallel 3-Slot bridge.

I'd be extremely grateful for any feedback/ info given.

Thank you for your time.

Hey ArctiChaos! smile.gif

The EK website says that the EK-FC Terminal DUAL Parallel 3-Slot bridge is compatible with all EK-FC GPU blocks but NOT the older CSQ design blocks. So I would say that you are good to go with that combination smile.gifthumb.gif

Alright cool,

I was worried because the page for the EK-FC R9-290X Matrix - Acetal+Nickel waterblock said differently. Thank you for the help WhiteKnight.

You must be confused by the wording or names. On the Matrix block page it specifically says

fourEK-FC R9-290X Matrix water blocks can be used on a single ATX form factor motherboard by using EK-FC Terminal (DUAL, TRIPLE or QUAD type) system or other means of interconnectivity. Please note that EK-FC Bridge & Link system is not compatible with this water block.

As you can see the 'Terminal' bridge system is specified. Terminal is the most recent and current design. The second part refers to the older FC 'bridge and link' system that looks and works differently.

Depends on the motherboard and card placement as well. Keep that in mind.

Yea I admit I'm not very familiar with E.K.W.B. so I didn't fully catch the finer details. But either way it helps so much to know the parts are compatible. Thanks again to everyone who took the time to help me out.
