The Nexus 6p is a Joke! Bend Test - Scratch Test - Burn Test - Page 10

I just got done listening to the Android Central podcast where they discussed this video and quickly called it bogus. They had doubts it was even a legit Nexus 6P. The video I watched had comments on it, perhaps they have been re-enabled. But, the host of the podcasts said when he was confronted about the authenticity of the phone, the comments became disabled. Beyond that, these guys literally touch, use, and own every single mainstream android phone in existence and say the build quality is every bit as good as any other flagship phone. They were even debating which phone is better between the Nexus 6P and the Note 5. Their credibility ranks above the guy who made this video in my opinion.

I plan on getting the 5X myself. As soon as I learn who the make of the 6P was I said NOPE!

$500 phone still not as durable as my Old School Samsung Galaxy S1. Still have mine and it still works like it was new. Looks new too thanks to my handy dandy Otterbox case. I don't use it anymore because I tired of waiting 5 minutes for Facebook to load LOL.

For the price of a 1 or 2 bedroom apartments monthly rent you'd think that they would at least ATTEMPT to make something that my 3 year old nephew wouldn't just touch and shatter.

The original guy is using a different technique than the other 2 defending videos in the thread. He's got his 8 fingers starting in the mid point of the screen and sliding them out wards as he bends it in putting a lot more pressure across the entirety of the device

One of the other guys doesn't bend it the same way and the second one begins where the original guy starts so there's no hope for them to actually break the phone or easily if they could.

It's just a factor of leverage, original guy has the entire length of his fingers on the screen more or less when the guy with the bracelet only has his finger tips trying to do the same. If they did it the same way it'd snap just the same way.

Edit: Just did a quick search, no one else bothers to use the same method in the 5 or more other bend videos, they all use the very tips of their fingers or just their distal phalanges in coordination with their thumbs.

Someone should just put the phone in their back pocket and sit on it to see what happens. I mean who really ever bends their phone in their hands like that?

I know I have sit on both my Galaxy S4 and my Droid Turbo without causing any damage to either.

This video is bogus. It's entertainment at best. Credible sources have already debunked this video. There are doubts the phone is even authentic. Guys at Android central tried and it was quite difficult to even get it to flex.

The serial number is right there on the box in the second one. Run it by Google or Huawei and check with them first before dismissing it. The internals he showed makes me think he's got some proof as to why it bends.

Also the guy is pretty strong, he doesn't have your typical white collar hands and forearms. He bends an M9 as well easily. Unless one or more people do the exact same method there's no debunking his video thumb.gif

After his second video, I believe his video is real. But again, whomever puts their phone through that level of abuse deserves for it to be broken.

Oh no doubt they do, he says it doesn't matter in any circumstance if the phone can bend or not it's just a structural flaw that shows if it gets abused like that. Majority of people use cases and the ones that don't are usually more cautious with their devices in general unless they have insurance or enough money to keep buying.

Only phone I've had break on my was my Nexus 5 in a hard case. Was in my cargo pants while fooling around with friend. I blocked an axe kick with my thigh and busted the little guy a month after release. Logic board was shot, frozen static noise screen but no structural damage, got a free replacement when I called lol.
