Punctual noob questions concerning my first water cooled rig

Hello Guys!

Noob PC builder here.
After a lot of daydreaming and forum browsing/ build envy, I finally have the chance to do my first water cooled build biggrin.gif.
Despite all the information floating around on the internet I could really use some input on a few things.

The specs are:

Case: Corsair 900D - bought
MB: Asus Maximus Formula VII - bought
Proc: 4790K - bought
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 2400 32GB - bought
Video: Asus ROG GTX970 Strix x2 -bought
Source: Corsair AX1200i - bought
SSD: Samsung 840 Pro - bought

For now, the water cooling parts i'm thinking about buying are:

EK Supremacy EVO
EK-FC970 GTX Strix x2
EK-XRES 140 Revo D5 PWM (incl. pump)
EK-CoolStream XE 480 (mounted in the top of the case in push/pull)
EK-CoolStream PE 480 (mounted in the bottom in push)
EK-Vardar F4-120ER (2200rpm) White x16
EK-HD Tube 12/16 mm
EK-HDC Fitting 16mm G1/4 - White x A LOT

Loop order: res -> pump -> proc -> MOSFET block on MB -> Coolstream XE -> GPU blocks in parallel -> Coolstream PE -> res

And various acrylic case panels and lightbox from coldzero.

My questions are:

1. EK doesn't seem to have any angled fittings for hard tube. What do you guys use?
2. Do you think that the pump is strong enough to handle the whole loop?
3. Do you guys know anyone in Europe who does custom extension cables? The only one I know is icemodz but i'd like some alternatives.
4. The coolant i'm thinking of is Mayhem's UV blue. What UV light source do you have experience with and you would recommend?
5. How did you guys set up your drain port? I'm thinking a T on the lower radiator outlet.
6. I'm thinking of getting a Lamptron FC8 and hooking up the fans 4/channel and the lightbox and led strips on the others. Any better ideas? How do you guys control your lighting?
7. Did any of you paint fan blades with UV reactive paint? If yes, any good blue paint you would recommend?

Thanks for your help and sorry for the long post.

2. Yes, but run it at full speed.
4. Cold cathodes are Culberson and require an ac transformer, I would get LED

Thank you Legonut! Any LED manufacturer in particular?

I thought it is universally accepted that there is no benefit from running anything in parallel. I run cpu, 2x gpu, 3 radiators all sequentially on koolance d5 pump and I have no issues with it.

Hey Dmitriy. I'll probably be using an EK FC terminal between the GPU blocks so the only reason for parallel is aesthetics. From what I've read, you're right... there is no other gain.

seems like a well thought out setup thumb.gif

As for angled hardline fittings.. maybe Monsoon? Or Bitspower? if they have the same dimensions.. no room for a few mm "play".. any play in hardline = leak

Check if Aquatuning has something http://www.aquatuning.de/water-cooling/fittings/acylic-tube-fittings/

As for led strips... even sourced from IKEA might do smile.gif But if you want real UV, you should get a real "blacklight" (TL) tube or bulb. and the best source for that is probably some electronics store or some DJ / Disco light specialist.

Oh fans:.. best is always PWM, and use a PWM splitter like the Swiftech 8-port
