Work log: Scratch build case, 26L ATX w/ 560mm radiator.

Hey guys, another attempt at a somewhat decent build log here, for my newest project.
If you want a name for it, no. Every computer I have named has caught fire.
The basic premise of this case was to fit a full ATX board, one GPU, and a 560mm radiator in as small a case as possible. With the case currently being at 26.0 Liters, I feel that i have achieved my goal of being the smallest case with a 560mm rad. Here are the parts for those interested:
Core components:
Intel 5820k @4.5Ghz
MSI X99S Mpower
Nvidia GTX 980ti
16gb G.skill DDR4 3000mhz
Samsung 950 PRO 512GB
Corsair RM1000 PSU

Water Cooling:
XSPC Raystorm CPU block
Heatkiller IV 980ti fullcover
2x D5 pumps / alphacool tops
XSPC EX560 rad, 4x140mm
Alphacool reservoir
3/8-5/8 clear Primoflex

The case has two main components. The white frame was made out of 0.081in aluminum. It was 3D modeled by me and manufactured by PROTOCASE. Powdercoate white, I think it came out very nice. The window is 1/4 in acrylic. I also have a few 3d printed parts for the graphics card mount.
Phase 1, case arrived (Click to show)

Phase 2, All parts have arrived (Click to show)

This guy will allow me to remove all SATA power and data cables from the case! Also it's stupid fast!

EKWB didn't have any offering I liked in the clear-fullcover option, so I went with another fullcover I found quite fancy.

A preview of the color of the liquid dye

Motherboard and graphics card installed! My I/O shield didn't line up, due to my own failure understanding the Intel ATX-spec documents. Everything else fits well and it's going well!

Looks like a very cool case.
Very interested to see how this goes. I am looking for cool slim ideas in my future watercooling or peltier build next year

Hi, I work for Protocase - thanks so much for sharing pictures of your case. It looks awesome! That acrylic window is killer.

Will definitely share these with the team here. We love to see our customers' work as it gets built.

Subbed (obviously) - because I want to see more pics as things progress! smile.gif

Out of curiosity, how much did this cost? Having designed quite a few scratch cases, but not having the money to make any, this could possibly help me set funds aside to get one built.

edit : Also, as a side note, since the GPU will be side ways, why are you going with an ATX board? Wouldn't an mATX board have sufficed? Couldn't it have saved you space?

Top post has been updated with new pictures! Sorry for poor quality, I will get some nice ones once the build is done.

The frame cost me $400. I could have done it myself for much cheaper but I have tried before and failed. I just wanted something that would come in the mail with everything I needed and look pretty.
I already had the X99S Mpower and mATX offerings are not always up to my desires. It wouldn't have saved much space since the card covers all of the PCIe slots.

Fair enough. It's not too too bad. I was expecting around 250$
