Need some assistance finding a new laptop

What is your maximum budget?
Approximately 2000$ CAD = 1400 € = 1540$ US

What country are you in?
Canada

What will be the uses of this laptop?
Programming (Unity), 3D modeling (Blender/Maya), Gaming

Do you have brand loyalty or care which brands we select for you?
No. I'm also fine with the more customized brands like Clevo's resellers, Sager, and sellers like Xoticpc, as long as there's a proper warranty.

What screen size do you require?
17" or above would be perfect

What screen resolution do you require?
1920*1080

Are you looking to buy NEW or would refurbished/recertified/used be okay?
Refurbished/recertified would be fine, as long as it has a warranty and receipt.

How long should the battery last? (Under optimal conditions, no movies/games/heavy internet)
2 hours. I ALWAYS have power when I use my laptop (college).

What games would you like to play with your laptop? And on what settings?
I'm looking to play Fallout 4 on as high settings as possible, but I don't need Ultra settings. I'd love 60fps on medium/high.

What operating system do you need? (if any)
Windows 7,8, or 10.

Is there a certain style of laptop you want? (aluminum, black, gaming, etc.)
Don't care at all

How much hard drive space do you need?
I'd love an SSD, 128GB would be fine with a ~500GB hard drive, or I could accept just a 256GB SSD.

Do you need any special hardware? (blue ray, webcam, specialty ports, etc.)
A full keyboard with number pad. I've missed it sorely on my current laptop.

Is there anything else we need to know?
The only laptop that's caught my eye so far has been this Acer one : http://www.amazon.ca/Acer-Aspire-VN7-791G-792A-17-3-Inch-Laptop/dp/B00WJSQRN0/
It looks like it has pretty much everything I need except the graphics card. But people seem to dislike Acer.

Current laptop is an ASUS K450J. It chugs on anything that uses the hard drive (a 5400rpm one, and slow even for one of those), and manages to choke when compiling the tiniest coding examples on Visual Studio.

Please do ask for any information you think I've missed.

Thank you for taking the time to look at this.

Update: I've been looking at XoticPC a lot more, and I think I can get a better deal using this type of shop. However, I can't decide on which base laptop to select in order to customize and get the best deal. Also, is there a similar sort of shop that based in Canada, and preferably Ontario?

That looks great. Would you have a specific recommendation of model?

Okay, assuming I can stretch my budget a bit, do you think I should just pop to the 8677-S? the total price for the setup with 16GB RAM would be lower than upgrading the 8677 with the RAM and SSD.

WAIT. ARE YOU JOSHING ME? HOW THE BUTT IS THAT REAL?
Seriously, it's just better in every way. I don't care about the disc drive, but they only cost like 50 dollars even for laptop versions, how is it so much cheaper?
I'll seriously have that one on the podium for now.
