ASUS Geforce GTX 980 Display Issue

Thread Starter
Hi Guys

I am having an apparent problem with my ASUS Geforce GTX 980.

The card that I am using has the following outputs

3 x Display Port
1 x HDMI
1 x DVI

I currently have one monitor connected to Display Port and 1 monitor connected to DVI.

When I plug my TV in using HDMI to become my third monitor, it does not register that I have plugged anything in.

Can I not use a Display Port and a HDMI at the same time? Do I have to plug my TV in via a HDMI to Display Port adapter for me to achieve this?

Hi

I have a similar problem with my laptop and docking station .

My problem is that I cant use DVI ,HDMI and Display at the same time with my laptop and docking station .

Things you can try , disconnect every thing and just plug the HDMI cable in to your tv does it work.

If it does work try connecting 1 monitor to the display port , then if its still working connect your last DVI device and see if that brakes stuff.

I am sure your problem is some thing similar.

Well I tried disconnecting both monitors and plugging a HDMI cable from the video card to the TV and got no display with it, I thought it might be some weird HDMI issue, so I tried plugging the HDMI cable into the tv and plugging in a HDMI>DP connector to the cable and then connected it and same problem

Try a different cable or different TV .

I had the smae thing with a tv i had it would not work with the gfx card and it turned out to be the cable being to long it was only 6 meters long but that was to long i got a shorter one that was 3 meters long and it worked.

It had some sort of signal hand shake problem with the long cable .
