The Roccat Lua happens to be on sale for $20 at Best Buy (although today might be the last day since it's been all week). I was actually going to get one myself, but balked because I felt it would be too narrow. From what I could tell from inspecting images, it seemed to be about the same width as my G9 without a grip, which wasn't comfortable for me. But for kids it should be fine.

I found a guy on ebay with two new logitech g100s for $16 for both shipped, so went that way just because of price, I appreciate all your help.

Microsoft WMO, cheap and reasonable gaming mouse, will stand the test of time.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Microsoft-Wheel-Mouse-Optical-WMO-Steelseries-MOD-100-NEW-5-Colors-/121179666270?var=&hash=item1c36def75e:m:mhKxVcMKVHqBEuJtvC9rX4Q

Only one I know of that's genuine, will arrive within 2 weeks from hong kong usually. There may be other sellers just be careful not to buy a fake.

Alternately logitech mice are solid, the one I'd recommend is a g400 which can be found cheaply if you shop around.

Go for G100s. Logitech will replace it no problems if something goes wrong with it.

Nvm, you figured it out.

Logitech G100s or WMO

The WMO is actually tougher than the G100s in my opinion, but if you want to do "serious" gaming on it, you'll have to have Windows 7 and overclock the mouse to 500hz.

Welp, guess me and everyone else are responding to a solved thread.

WMO has no warranty if it goes kaput. G100S will be replaced and most likely you are to keep defective unit for your self too.
