Hi,

I have a microserver that I am soon going to installing CentOS on, it is running Windows Server at the moment.

I will be running PLEX, Zoneminder and VPN software on it. I was thinking of running the OS from a USB but I was unsure if it would be fast enough? I was thinking of buying a class 10 SD card.. Something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexar-633x-32GB-High-Performance-microSDHC-UHS-I-Card-Class-10-with-USB-3-0-/111672529252?hash=item1a00339164:g:SU8AAOSwKrhVeWvN

Zoneminder will write to a separate drive from PLEX and Zoneminder will be setup to record only when motion is detected.

I will be setting up RAID 1 in the future when I get two new drives (2 or 4TB - undecided yet and this is for PLEX).

Will it be ok to run the OS from the USB pendrive or will it run like **** off a shovel?

Thanks!
