[Polygon]Batman: Arkham Knight now offering unconditional refunds to PC gamers through Dec. 31 - Page 7

This is a good tactic to get people to buy the game that otherwise wouldn't. Most will realize the game isn't so bad and just keep it. Take that vocal minority. Good play WB, good play.

They only did it because of the backlash the first go around, if Steam didn't stand up to bat for those who bought it WB would have told everyone to piss off.

So here's my question about BAK. Overall, is the game good? Can you get through the game without crashes? Is it worth $60 or is this one of those games that is worth buying when the price drop to about $20 or $30?

I don't mind buying a game that has a couple of glitches if I spend $20 for it as long it is a fun game to play whistle.gif

Personally, it has an awesome story and I would certainly buy it. On the initial pre-patched version, I made it through the game running at least 60fps. To get this, you just need to edit one of the .ini files to enable the higher framerates and disable Paper Debris in the GameWorks settings. I had everything else turned up as high as it would go. thumb.gif

Whether or not it would be worth it to pay the full price is completely up to you - how much of an Arkham series fan are you? biggrin.gif

I am a fan of fun games that brings a challenge and decent replayability. I am an Arkham fan but just because I am doesn't mean I'll pay $60 for it. I like getting my money's worth when it comes to buying & playing games. Typically, the more of a challenge & length of a game dictates what I'll spend for it. So, I'll ask a more specific question. Does it take at least 12hrs to complete on hard difficulty? If not, it's a game that I can definitely wait for the price to drop before buying.

If you like the other Arkham games, you'll like this one. Personally, there are many aspects that I like significantly better than the previous ones - I have played and beaten every Arkham game. Origins is the only one where I didn't really replay the story after finishing the first time. You should definitely get at least 12 hours out of it.

They don't realize it for four months and then do after four days and call it quits?

This reminds me when they said that they wouldn't fix some bugs in Arkham Origins because they were concentrating on making more DLC. If I had read about something like that ten years before I probably wouldn't have believed it as it would have been outlandish, irresponsible, disrespecting of the consumer, etc. Nowadays it seems like anything goes.

Oh, and they put the price up to € 49,99 where I live from the previous € 45,99 upon re-release. They really aren't interested in selling this, are they?

On the 29th of October:

Now, November 1st:

That's odd, because it's still the same price for USD.

You got it for free as part of a promotion, why do you feel you should be compensated? That's a question, please don't interpret it as anything else. I mean, being realistic here, you didn't actually spend any money whatsoever on the game (the money was spent on the GPU, no extra for the game's inclusion). If you're looking for compensation, you could always try selling your code. That's probably the closest you'd get to any form of compensation though....
