ITX motherboard choice.

Thread Starter
Currently sitting on a Maximus VI Gene (mATX) and it is starting to give me all sorts of memory issues. Wanting to move to ITX anyway. Looking to keep my 4770k so z97 it is. My personal experience with ASUS has been hit or miss, have not used an Intel Gigabyte board, nor ASrock or MSI. What is the consensus on the z97 itx lineup?

The concencus is good luck finding one!

That said, my personal vote goes with the GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-Z97N followed by the the ASRock Z97E-ITX/ac.

Technically the MAXIMUS VII IMPACT is the superior board, but with the somewhat absurd price premium for negligable returns, and ASUS's track record of "features" that do more harm than good, I'd personally steer clear of that one.

My Z97I from Asus has been rock solid for over a year, and it's flashy but not too flashy. And has a hidden M.2 SSD slot for the win. My second choice for motherboard brands would be Gigabyte, and their ITX boards like the GA-Z97N Wi-fi have a good price to features ratio.
