Hi guys,

I am looking at the 750w antec true power, I feel they are reliable and great quality..

I have a budget of around 100-150 aud
The list are quoted in aud...

I want a power supply which insides are not cheaply made..
Sadly learning on this forum that coolermaster psus are rubbish I want advise this time b4 I buy

Antec truepower seem to be highly regarded.

Regards
Shaun

What would your system specs be that'll be using this PSU ? The CoolerMaster Vangard series are also nice.

I'd go with the CoolerMaster V1000 for the price rather than the Antec series.

1000 watts is way overkill unless his video cards will have BIOS volt mods on them.
750 watt could power that system with no problems.

Either the V750 or V850 those two are the best options on that list.

The models that he is suggesting are some of the best reviewed units comparable or even better than Corsair / Antec. Besides, what model did you have that bust from coolermaster

Cooler Master does not make the PSU´s they make nor does Corsair or Antec or almost everyone for that matter.
Its all made by an OEM in china so you have never owned anything made by Cooler Master, i think i know which one you have had and yes its crap so you wont hear anything from me about that one.

Cooler Master power supplies information thread

And yes most of the older Cooler Master PSU´s are crap but they turned around a few years ago and almost everything they have come out with since has been above average to great.
The semi Cooler Master V series series is about the best mid range PSU series out there so there is no reason not to buy one.

Let go of your old biased there is nothing wrong with Cooler Master as long as you dont buy one of the old ones or one of the super cheap ones.

CoolerMaster, Antec, and Corsair do not make their own PSUs. They contract other companies to make them, and then they slap their own labels on top. They use different manufacturers for different models, and even within each manufacturer, quality varies depending on the budget and feature set demands that were imposed upon them.

Once you open up a CM unit for instance, you may find it is actually a very well made seasonic design, or you may find it is a budget CWT design. The same is true for Antec or Corsair. Because of this, buying by brand is mostly meaningless, while buying by model is much more sensible.

You wouldn't turn down a "MSI" GTX 980Ti just because MSI also "made" a Radeon X1300Pro. They are completely different units, designed by two different companies, from different eras and for different budgets. Why would you avoid a good modern "CM" PSU just because you had a bad outdated "CM" PSU?
