Only HP sells a non-matte 32" A-MVA panel, all of the 32" 2560x1440 monitors use A-MVA panels (AHVA=AUO's version of IPS/PLS), and the horrible Qnix is the only one which has been proven to overclock. Forget about 32" and buy an overclock-able Crossover 2795 QHD for the same price:

and I uninstalled the 15.7 drivers and installed the 15.10 beta drivers to see if it helps with enabling freesync. So i created a post here but haven't had much help https://community.amd.com/thread/190869https://community.amd.com/thread/190869

Could you please check what's the minimum on the freesync range?
Also, did you overclock the monitor or is that 70Hz out of the box? Have you tried setting it to 60Hz to see if Freesync option appears?

There is no IPS/AHVA 32" 1440p monitor.

I haven't figured out any of the Freesync settings, it doesn't mention it in any of the documentation I received but i know its listed in the Wikipedia page of FreeSync-compatible monitors. The 70 Hz is out of the box and I have it set at 60 Hz and the freesync option doesn't appear. I don't know the rules of the forum but I don't want to hijack this thread, should I create another thread for my freesync issues?

Unfortunately the Wikipedia page only lists the maximum Freesync refresh rate, what I'd like to know is the minimum.
I'm afraid I'm out of ideas on why the option doesn't appear for you.

Very interesting that the monitor is 70Hz out of the box though.

I figured it out, replying to my comment so people in the future will know how to enable it.

On the right side on the screen there are 3 buttons, press the "+" button in the middle twice and select Gaming, save your settings and you should get a notification to enable freesync.

Great, now check for PWM dimming at 0% brightness.

Hi!

Can you tell if the coating on that new Envy is the same HP used on the Spectre and 25/27 XW? I'm interested in this particular model, but it has to have PWM-free brightness control and that marvelous 1% haze coating. I have been looking, but i haven't found any documentation specifying the coating nor any actual pictures of the monitor on which to clearly see the coating itself.
