GridCoin looks like another boinc client that tracks your work and awards you with crypto currency. It almost sounds like bitcoin utopia.

Anyway, the Poem GPU tasks use a full cpu core as well on my PC, so I'll just sick with Denis and Enigma. For some reason, my phone trashes every Enigma task it gets. Maybe they didn't update for Android 5?

Yea, that's kind of what I could make out. It funds some other mysterious project its seems. I looked at Charity Engine once too, but I couldn't run it under OCN team...it be nice if they had something that gave back. I guess it would no longer be 'volunteer' then.

I was looking at the GridCoin last night because I saw the advertisement.... looks like you crunch certain projects for their team and you get credit.

I had a look at that too. It does look like you need to join their team though and I'm not leaving OCN to crunch for anyone else!

How can i fix that, i want to use my old CPID.

Edit:hmm, it's going to change back to the old one eventually, right?

Yes, eventually it will. It helps to join a project with your old CPID and then add POEM.

Your 2 cpids should eventually merge.  Sometimes split cpids never merge, but generally they do merge after a few days.  Quick reminder on best practices to keep from getting split cpids:

  • Use the exact same email address for all projects
  • Use the same username for all projects
  • Use one machine as your "base" machine, and add all projects to that machine first.

Speaking of which, the project created a new ID for one of my rigs...oops, nevermind...I know why, I reinstalled BOINC to move the data folder. Anyhow, lots of machines have been added to the project, my machine IDs were around 4000-4400, now the new ones are 50,000+. I wonder if those old IDs get reassigned after being retired after I merged machine IDs? Probably not. eh..I'm rambling again..just my OCD kicking in, I suppose.
