Hi Guys,
i need your help to solve a strange problem with my OC.
After many test i'm stable at 4.4Ghz with 1.38125v at Vcore but when i active energy savings and offset to vcore, my pc won't boot.

This is how i set vcore on bios.
Anyone can help me? If you need other screen, just ask.
Thanks in advance and sorry for my english. wubsmiley.gif

Since you have the 1.0 board I'm not sure how helpful my advice will be. I haven't used the offset. I guess it's because I have energy stuff turned off.

Here is my stable setting:

BCLK 225 (Assuming you have 1866 RAM. Mine is 1600 but runs fine at 1800.)
multi: 20
vcore: 1.39
NB core: 1.25
RAM: 1.55
RAM speed: 9-9-9-27-1 (Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB ULP)
LLC: medium

all CPU features off except turbo, the virtual machine whatever, and high-performance mode (no APM, no C-states, no cool and quiet, etc.)

CPU speed: 4.5 GHz
CPU: 8320E and 8370E

fan on northbridge

Thanks for your reply.
I have 2x8Gb Corsair Vengeance PRO 1600Mhz.

Du you have your vcore always at 1.39v? Whydon't you use energy saving enabled?

Have you never used "offset" at vcore?

1.5V RAM should be able to run at 900 Mhz with 1.6V or so or you can use 200 BCLK.

I haven't done a lot of testing with these features enabled but so far when I have all of them on it kills multicore performance (76 GFLOPS in LinX 2048 problem size versus 87 with high-performance mode turned on in BIOS. You can also see a big drop in Cinebench CPU multi-thread). Maybe I'll be able to turn some of them on but I haven't experimented much with that yet.

Probably you found a BIOS bug? How about not using offset?

I really don't know what you 're doing there, but cases like yours, is why i HATE HWInfo. It has confused much more beginners than it has helped. I have the motherboard, never touched offset and my Vcore changes according to what i set and according to cool n quiet. Maybe you have "HPC mode" enabled?

Try resetting your BIOS and just disable APM and try again. You are doing something wrong or you have some software monitor conflict.
