In this one the laser weapons aren't even firing in a straight line.

I love how right at the beginning he hacks the terminal and unlocks the safe that is right beside, doesn't even notice and just continues on. n00b

Nope I don't want a hug, and I never said Witcher 3 was not amazing.

Graphical fidelity aside, we can CLEARLY see the animations, dialogue options and ai.

1. Very far from it, I have the game on ps4, and the visuals do nothing for me, but the rest of the game that I have played to this point(about half way through) is fantastic. I love gwent. biggrin.gif

2. I thought the release video of the animations(walking mainly) was bad when first shown. One of the newely released videos showed the guy walking in armor and I thought the walking animation looked a little better. The point I will agree on is the dialogue options, from what we have seen they look lacking. I am hoping that when you have %speech options they might appear as a different button press than the four shown.

That's probably just part of the game. In previous games, your weapons have a chance to shoot off in random directions and, IIRC, your weapon skill level affects how often this would happen. I'm guessing that this will still happen in FO4, but with perks or primary stats affecting it instead of skills.

The line itself is curved. In the latter part of that video, the wind up gun. The laser trail shows odd angles in the trail of the laser. Not inaccuracy, but a crooked line of fire.
I agree it is likely part of the game. I'm just showing the lazy corner cutting that appears to be present here. I don't think Hawking or Kaku need to be involved in a product in order to expect it to have laser weapons that conform to the laws of physics. I really don't think that is too much to ask of any game, much less a AAA title.

It'll be fun. I probably won't buy it until the mod tools are out and I've finished The Witcher 3. Probably not until after the next Witcher expansion comes out. The more time I wait the more time to get those patches out. The graphics aren't anything special. Mods always end up dealing with making the textures and lighting amazing. So I was hoping they would have better animations and character models out of the box. Still better than their previous games but they look bad compared to recent games. I hope it runs well on PC. It doesn't look amazing but it runs 30fps on consoles. I hope this is the result of the game having a long dev time where it started as a last gen title and was transitioned to current consoles. That would give me more hope that the next Elder Scrolls will have much better animations.

The videos shown in the trailers really didn't look any better.. unless you are referring to ones I may have missed. I recall E3, etc.

There's too much Gamebryo code in the Creation Engine for me to call it a new engine. As far as I'm concerned it's basically just another modded (granted hyper modded) Gamebryo engine game.
