Anyway, if this is how most of the quests seem to be, with this poor execution. I really don't think there are going to be more "interesting places," because if they are ignoring side quests entirely and only focusing on huge questlines I don't see how that can be advantageous when you want the whole package in an RPG.

I haven't played Fallout 3 in years, since it launched. I remember it being pretty exciting throughout. I have attempted to play Fallout New Vegas recently (about a a few years ago) and I recall it being a bore fest. After looking at some of the updated graphics technology screenshots, I'm not really bothered by the look of it as it has some improvements and any other needed atmospheric modifications can be done with SweetFX and Reshade if it isn't up to par.

I understand your point and I agree, but everyone only seems to care about the graphics. I won't be buying the game on release date, I wait at least untill november the 12th and checkout the reviews and comments about the game and specifically the story and questline itself.

In fact I really enjoyed Fallout New Vegas just because it was a little flat out and simple. On the other hand I also really enjoyed Fallout 3 because it was much more complex and deeper. But the games are hard to compare I feel.

The dialog options in Fallout 3 are really nice indeed for people who get drawn into the story line. On the other hand they sometimes felt long and boring. I think Bethesda is trying to find some place in the middle, but they will dissapoint the hardcore players who are really into the long and interesting dialog options.

We'll see, hopefully the story and setting will be nice.

Exactly ! When I think of a game that I liked in the past I never think like "I love that game because how good it looked"

Graphics is important. In fact, good graphics is a given in all good AAA games. Would you be just as happy with the game if it could only run at 800x600 with DirectX 7, but had a great story to it? I doubt it. It is all about people's minimum graphics expectations. Some have high ones and some have low ones. Witcher 3 raised the bar and so did GTA V, so its OK for Fallout 4 graphics NOT to live to the same level, but it still has to be good to get the best experience and high ratings. This isn't an indie game with 2D graphics, but a 3D game and it should look on par with other AAA 3D 2014-2015 games released last year and this year.

Not to mention that a game with poor graphics is somewhat suggestive that the rest of the game's mechanics may be poor, such as gameplay, combat, story, voices, sound/music, etc. Its not necessary to be that way, but it does slightly suggest that. If graphics sucks - then what else sucks?

My biggest concern is the "400 hours of gameplay" which is ridiculous and cannot be true, unless 350 of those hours are stupid fetch-quests that make the main quest overly easy to complete. If quests are like in Skyrim, then this is a modding + screenshots game, unlike Witcher 3, where side-quests were of great importance and each of side-quests was specially crafting with cut scenes, voices, story, and interesting content. Fallout 4 was in late development when Witcher 3 game out, which means it is quite unlikely Bethesda integrated anything that they learned from Witcher 3's success.

I like the gameplay, and idea of FO4, I didn't try FO3...still, in 2015, why the hell can't we have more games that look like Crysis 3, or maybe, better?? When does the next gen start?

If they make something that looks as good as or better than crysis 3, people will be whining and complaining about how hard it is to run at 1080p. They'll call it an unoptimized console port as soon as they how beefy the minimum system requirements are.

It came out in 2013...2 years of hardware improvement and we can't even have visuals that we COULD drive 2 years ago??

A lot of people still can't drive Crysis 3 even now. Lol. Assassin's Creed Unity which came out a year ago imo looked better than Crysis, but in addition to the bugs, people were upset that they'd need a $500 gpu just to max it out at 1080p. Until a 980ti can be had for 200, I wouldn't expect jaw dropping visuals anytime soon.

MAYBE the environments are comparable, but the character models in Crysis 3 were better. We really haven't had anyone get skin tone/faces as good since then, have we?
