After connecting to the Melbourne VPN launch Steam, let it unpack the files, go into offline mode in Steam and close the VPN software and you're done.

It's funny. If you paid for it, you can snag it but if you want to pirate it, you're going to have to stand in line.

It took me about 15 minutes of waiting before I was able to connect to Melbourne, just give it a while.

See, this is the kind of crap I'm worried about. I'm fine with graphics not being crysis...but for the love of god...do they ever do any testing on their games??? Guy is only 9 hours in and he's got save game bugs stopping progress...come on man.

Yup there is also 0 fps frame drops, disappearing weapons, bad load times and ofcourse game breaking bugs.

Cant believe bethesda are skating by on the gamebryo engine that is like 10 years old and people are pre ordering it by the millions. I mean the engine was long in the tooth when skyrim came out 4 years ago but now it's just a complete joke as the industry goes.

I can live with a lot of negatives but this stuff is indefensible. Maybe your engine hasn't kept up technology wise for graphics rendering, but you're telling me you STILL haven't learned how to create a game that JUST WORKS. And I don't even want to hear "modders will fix it" because it shouldn't require that. Fixing shoddy graphics is one thing, but seriously you have to wait for modders to fix underlying technical issues that impact your ability to even play the game. Seriously?

And for all the people who say "modders will fix it" I mean I've given up that dream because to this day for how gorgeous and how fun Skyrim CAN be, modders still have not stopped the game from just randomly crashing or not working. If you die, you are supposed to completely exit the game because the save system screws up if you don't????

Sigh. I was really hoping that at least the nuts and bolts would have went through development changes, but literally every review is saying the same thing and every defender will just say ....lol wut it's bethesda duh....or modders will fix it.

NO. just no. I seriously hope this gets patched fast, thanks to Steam refunds , we may have a shot at that

edit: Like I'll still play and probably have lots of fun, but I'd be lying if I said that I was not now super filled with dread and worried that this will be early days of skyrim all over again...crash fest...lock ups...glitches...save game bloat...ugh just ugh....can't breathe easy knowing your game could break at any moment because bethesda refuse to code things properly

It's a complete technical mess on consoles according to alot of people, I have no idea how they keep getting away with this. As skyrim on the ps3 was one of the buggiest games on the console to date next to acreed unity.

The sky is always falling to the PC crowd it seems. Why don't some of you guys actually play the game and comment on your unique experiences? I have seen countless bugs reported in so many games that I never once actually experienced myself. I have gone through a few reviews and only heard of run of mill minor bugs and some broken quests.

This is not limited to games either, it's the same song and dance with hardware and peripherals. Most of the users that cried about the Acer XB270HU didn't even own one and had no issue pouring gas all over the fear and doubt fire with plenty of hearsay. I took a chance (went with my gut) and got a perfect panel first shot. So in other words if I listened to all the cynical chicken littles here I wouldn't purchase anything, because nothing is good or polished enough...

According to OCN, all monitors are garbage and every game is garbage. If you have AMD, you REALLY need Intel.
