Replacement for QCK+ (with print)

Hey guys, been lurking for a while and I must say there is some great stuff on this forum, top notch. I am not sure that it is a good thing for me though because I tend to buy more stuff, since I joined, in my hunt for the best mice and mousepad for me. I've sorta given up on the mouse for now, I use a DA 2013 day to day and while it is the best mouse I've yet found for myself it is not a perfect fit. In my hunt I've tried EC1-A, Mionix Castor, FK1, ZA12, sensei, Rival and a couple more but I always seem to go back to my DA, next I am going to try the G303 and hope for the best. If you have any tip on that area it would be appreciated!

Now, the topic of this thread is another, mousepad. I really really like the QCK+ with print (mine is NiP) but the mousepad has gotten old over the years and it feels, hm, kind of bumpy. I do not really want to buy another with print, because well, I don't like prints on my mousepad, so - is there any other mousepad out there with similar surface as the QCK+ with print? Neither the original QCK+ or the Heavy has the same surface afaik. What would you guys recommend?

Cheers,

artisan zero xsoft with custom print. it's a similar glide/control level to the qck+

I'd Avoid artisan. Overpriced imo. Try the Zowie gsr or pure track talent. They do have a print but not a Derpy picture

Puretrak Talent or Zowie G-SR "grey" would be similar, but with some kinda print.
The new Logitech G640 or maybe a Roccat Taito have satin like surfaces with just a Logo in the Corner.

Would avoid Artisan too. Not as big, has to be imported and u never know if its the right one, until u try all the surfaces/hardnesses.. tongue.gif

They are expensive, shipping costs and import charges may be the deal breaker for some of the pads though rather than the actual base price. Bearing in mind, the qck+ has been out for ages and is mass production.

I have been a Qck+ user for ages, I have had like 4 qcks, with and without print. Recently I got a roccat taito, it is really similar, they even smell similar out of the box, but the roccat has way better glide, its surface has less static friction, the rest is almost the same, the rubber base is indistinguishable, sizes are similar, price is similar, thickness is a little higher but similar.

In my opinion you should avoid expensive mats (artisan) they might be good but they are not worth it, all good mats are cloth, and cloth wears out and gets dirty, even if you find the "perfect" mat, you will need to change it after 6 months at least, thats why an inexpensive (<20usd) and easy to find mat is more convenient

Alright, thank you guys for all the answers, I've just now switched to a QcK Heavy and I'll use it in the meantime. I'll definitely try to get my hands on a roccat taito which to me seems like the best option thumb.gif
