Newer Corsair HX-line : still pump noise?

Thread Starter
I'm thinking about getting either the H80i or H100i (the newer version). Been used to a Scythe air cooler which is amazingly quiet, but I want better performance while keeping the noise at the same low level. I had a Corsair before but this had annoying pump rattle. Has this been fixed or is this still present?

The Corsair AIO coolers aren't exactly what I would consider quiet. You'll likely get quieter performance from a solid air cooler like the Scythe Ninja 4 with a Gentle Typhoon.

If you're convinced you want a 120mm AIO, try NZXT's Kraken X31 instead of the Corsair H80i. Their CAM software lets you control the speed (and noise) of the pump.

Newer version would be the H80i GT and h100i GTX.

Your best bet would be to stay on air, get the top air coolesr which perform just as good as CLCs. Thermalright, Cryorig and Noctua all have quiet top performance coolers.
