Please don't make boost suck any more pascal!

I hope that the new 16/14nm cards do blow everything out of the water, but my hopes and the reality have never gotten along quite well.

Nvidia is no charity and hates giving us what we want/dream of and AMD can't.

In the end it will probably be like this :

Q2-Q3 2016 Nvidia finished new GPU GTX 1080 and gives us a small 400mm² Pascal card for 549$ that is like 35% better than the 980 Ti. Random members on OCN.net express that their zombie 980 Ti with modded bios and 1700mhz overclock is faster than the stock GTX 1080.

Q4 2016 Nvidia gives us Pascal-Titan for 999$ (or even more) full fat. People buy it, because no competition. Jen-Hsun Huang is still using the same Titan-esque cooler with a different color tone this time.

Q4 2016 AMD releases their new cards. 5% slower than Pascal-Titan. Reference design is either horribly bad or has a hybrid cooler noone asked for. AMD calls it the Fury Reloaded. Also AMD releases the 490X. It is basically a rebranded 390X that was rebranded from the 290X, but now comes with 16GB of Vram. There will also be 32GB 490X cards, but they need an extra PCIE slot for the VRAM-extension card.

Q1 2017 Nvidia releases the 1080 Ti for 749$. Card is cut, but people buy it anyways. One guy on OCN.net mentions that noone in their right minds would've paid 749$ for a GTX 570 back in the days.

Maybe it is best you ask your magic 8 ball biggrin.gif

That's what I'm thinking. Mobile.

I think you are 100% right, except for one thing ...

It won't be called "Fury Reloaded".

It'll be called "Fury Road Edition". biggrin.gif
