System posted but won't go past post screen.

Thread Starter
Hello all

I built a new system earlier this year and updated to Windows 10 recently. Three days ago, when I restarted the computer, it indicated that certain filed for my mother board's software, AI Suite III (from Asus) were missing. I uninstalled AI Suite III and reinstalled it.

Two days ago, when I restarted the computer, it went into Windows 10 Disk Check directly after post. Not sure why it did that. I let it run and it found no problems.

Last night, I ran disk checks on the two primary drives (boot and storage). No errors were found. All of a sudden, I got a "pop-up" Windows 10 error (the ones that show up on the bottom right) indicating that a driver wasn't found and the computer needed to be restarted.

This morning, when I turned on the computer, it would not go past the post screen (even though it would make the post BEEP noise).

What the hell is happening?

Is my SSD bad? If so, how do I get a new copy of Windows 10 (the one I previously downloaded)?

Is there an issue with my Mobo?

How do I trouble shoot?

What concerns me about this is that I recently had 3 (yes three) hard drives go bad in a month. I assumed it was the mobo at the time and replaced that computer with this one. Now, I seem to be again dealing with HD corruption issues (files going missing randomly).

Please let me know what you think.

CPU: Devils Canyon
Mobo: Asus Hero 7
Boot HD: Intel 100gb SSD
Storage HD: Seagate 1TB
