Please Help Me Pick out a 40 inch monitor

Hello,

I am considering getting a Samsung UN40JU6500 40-Inch 4K TV as a PC monitor. Is there anything else i should be considering?

Requirements -
at least 40 inches
4k
low input lag
budget (hoping around 650) but willing to go up if its really really worth it.
I am not looking for perfection here.

Thanks for your help!!!

I've been doing research on the same thing; ~40" 4k TVs exclusively for PC gaming, because the picture quality of almost all computer monitors is terrible in comparison. Samsung seems to be where it's at. The JU6500 seems to be unrivaled for the price. I'm pretty much set on the JU7100 or JU7500 if I go this route.

The GTX 780 terminaldawn uses does not have the HDMI 2.0 support required for 4K @ 60hz 4:4:4. He needs to use Displayport that the Samsung UN40JU6500 lacks. Unless you budget for a new 9 series nVIDIA card or want to feel the pain of 30hz 4K I recommend the Crossover 404K (which I use personally) or a Wasabi Mango 42". Make sure you purchase a new DP cable as the included ones are garbage. Threads on both monitors are in the display forum.

Not entirely true. gtx 780 supports 4k @ 60 with 4:2:2.

I am not entirely sure what the difference is. I bought the ju6500 and it looks pretty solid to me. I have confirmed I am running at the above. What am I missing out on with 4:4:4 vs 4:4:2 ?
