But this isn't a hybrid system, its just an Asetec CLC with a fan for the vrm's.

We did the best we could without messing up with the pump/motor chambers. We will try to add extra sexy for the second editions.
It was pretty hard to make a pump+tubing+Airflow fan all fit together in the first place, but yeah I know what everyone means. Our designer is weeping gently in the corner of the office right now.

We admit that it's not rocket science, and people have been ziptie-ing fans above the CPU for some years now.
We started this project in around early 2014, when we were getting ready for Computex 2014. We bought a C branded CLC and had it go against our R1 Ultimate at the time, to show that Air can rival and also beat CLC's when we're not using crazy TDP. We had two identical LGA2011 ROG systems, but the CLC unit kept freezing or throttling at the same OC and Vcore, we even swapped the cooling and the unit with the CLC still had it's frequency jumping all over the place. In the end we had to put an extra fan cooling the VRM's to get the system stable for the show. This had us thinking about the issue, and we also saw similar ghetto solutions posted up by users. Which then encouraged us to dig deeper into the problem, and begin thermal testing with thermal imaging equipment etc. We also gone through a handful of different fan orientations\fan sizes etc. The end product is what you're seeing right now, like I said, I wouldn't call it rocket science or a stroke of genius. But it was the summation of a lot of testing, experiments and practicality.
