Looks cool.
If you didn't already know, you can change the LED effects on your GPU with Geforce. Most people never install geforce so it was worth mentioning. tongue.gif

Ok I went today and bought the 5820k lol. While waiting for this ram my mind is running wild. I've never had this hard of a time choosing a route. I think I like the x99a SLI Krait better as far as looks. So I'm starting to swing the other way again.

Also if there's any chance of dx12 using 6 cores I don't want to say what if.... So it's going to come down to side by side. Now that I think of it with the gigabyte g1 gaming 7 I don't like the red accents as everything else is black and white. Case, card, fans etc...

that's an even better news!

edit: i think the X99 fits your 980 Ti better.thumb.gif or is it the other way around?

So far I'm loving it. All the testing I have done so far. Frame drops are pretty much gone. This thing just flat out flies when OC'd. thumb.gif

Great choice! Congrats! I was in doubt as well about were to go from a 2500k. I just woke up one day in August coming out the door at MicroCenter with a 5820K in my hand biggrin.gif Fact that they had an open box Gigabyte X99 UD5 for 140 made it real easy, I think... Decent OCer too, 4.7@1.325v, decided to run a "conservative" 4.5@1.270. What I find incredible is the difference between temperatures at stock and OCed!!!!! Does not break 40*C in Prime at stock, yet it's in the mid 60s at 4.5! That's with a custom loop.
Anyways, enjoy it!!!

[ Two weeks later I sold my 2500k and Asus z77 WS mobo for 230$ on CL upsidedwnsmiley.gif ]

Yeah I was wondering on the value of the 2500k. Looks like those guys are hovering in the 100-150 mark. Mine was a good clocker but now won't take anymore than a 4.5. I think I'm going to hook a buddy up to get his feet wet in the custom pc game! thumb.gif

My 5820k hovers at 55c with the H100i at 4.5GHz . Might have to lower the voltage a bit. I have it at 1.3 at the moment but its rock solid.

Would also like to know that. They should be in the low 18k's.

At least they should be or else my scores@4.5 are low and something is wrong. tongue.gif

i have 15400 score with 6700k 4.7Ghz.
Nod bad at all..
5820k is only 20% faster despite it has 50% more cores. This indicates skylake have 30% better IPC in this test.

But not much games today can use 12threads..so in vast majority games skylake will be a lot faster.

4.7 vs 4.5 .
What is your result at 4.5?
