Go ahead and actually load up that enb and try it... nothing more then a blurry light bloom filled mess, might look fancy in pictures looks terrible playing it, but again fallout 4 was designed to look like it is from the artists right through to the technical team fo3 / nv where designed with any form of enb in mind resulting in most enbs ive tried looking horrid blurry aliasing filled messes... not much more to say the band wagon already got to much momentum at this point how bout we just wait till it's actually out and tried it...

Why would you buy a Bethesda game on release anyway? If you wait a few months you will have a much better chance of a) buying a game that is actually finished, and b) paying what the game is actually worth. Just look at what a trainwreck Skyrim 1.0 was, and it's not like that was an isolated case. Oblivion never left beta.

I believe the leaked Graphics Menu showed the option to turn that off. I always see if I can turn off settings like Motion Blur the second I start the game.

Same here. I wonder why they still include this setting and more bewildering is that sometimes like in the release version of Batman Arkham Knight you couldn't even turn it off from the menu (and turning it off from the config file had some bugs if I remember correctly - all of it can be explained with the fact that it was a crappy console port, I know, but still bewildering). Motion Blur makes sense in 24fps movies, not in video games, at least that is my opinion. It should come turned off by default. At least the vast majority of PC games lets you turn it off.

I'm still waiting for the day when we have more realistic interaction between physical elements. When a character or an animal walking or a car isn't really physically interacting with the ground is something that still breaks immersion to this day, especially when clipping invariably happens - see the dog's front paws in the screenshot from the link above. Also, as in that same screenshot and also the last one, the weeds just planted on top of the tarmac, without roots.

We've come a long way, but I get the feeling that since 2008 (DX 10.1, which brought better lighting), the only real improvements have been the implementation of better lighting (from 2010 onwards, because Nvidia's cards from 2008 weren't DX 10.1 compatible), tessellation, and a few companies using photogrammetry (instead of tessellation actually).

I think we are still lacking in the texture resolution department and as I said above, realistic physical interaction between objects. We also need these two in order for VR to truly work (after we get the latency in game engines and in the hardware solved).

Anyway, wasn't the Skyrim engine a collection of modules that was in need of sorting and perhaps condensation into a more uniform and better working system? Did they address that?
