i keep hearing the new version of skylake is gonna be 2 years are this the same thing has 1151 socket board or it gonna be different socket and motherboard?
people keep talking about how the next chip is gonna be more powerful is this the same version of is this different build for a modern cpu?
are skylake heat sink comtable kit too?

I think we've got all the skylakes we are going to get for the desktop.

Next chip is Cabylake, should still be on the ~1 year cadance, but it is not the die shrink of skylake. Same process size, but refined architecture, really not any details.

The die shrink is Cannonlake and it got pushed ~1 year, so instead of a die shrink ~2 years apart we are getting it closer to 3.
