When it rains it pours for VW. Honestly, after all this, I really don't known how they can stay out of bankruptcy. This also effects Audi, Porsche, Bentley, Bugatti, and Ducati too, since VW owns them. Also, the countries of Germany and Qatar are part owners of VW.

I'm assuming the difference would be less dramatic on a stock car though.

I'm too poor for the dyno, but I had a 240sx with a 400r motor in it. I couldn't notice much power difference but the turbo pressure was easier to get with out a cat.
Me and some friends built it after work. biggrin.gif

Most definitely it would be less on a stock car. I was just trying to illustrate that there is a difference without vs with ... which was the whole question in post number 6 ... not this junk about "high flow cats" vs "OEM cats" vs "no cats". rolleyes.gif

With the bolded part out of the way, I hate the rice buckets with a 4" coffee can coupled to the factory 2" pipe and stock EMS.
Most of the time no one knew how to deal with an O2 sensor so the car is running for the worst case scenario (lots of gas) so the car makes less power now...

But hey, It pops when they shift so they're happy.

I bet that's a hell of a sleeper. How much can you boost the stock guts on a 302?
