Rapid mode vs RamCache

Thread Starter
im running windows 7 home premium 64 bit . a single SSD samsung 850 evo 500GB no harddisk, 16GB of ram, z97 Hero, i7 4790k, 970 msi gaming.
I saw theres a feature in samsung magician 4.8 called rapid mode. is it REALLY safe to turn it on? will it spoil my ssd faster and overtime? what are the cons. im worried.
and is this feature called Rapid mode in samsung magician. as good or better than Actual Ram cache? http://www.overclock.net/t/1227803/how-to-set-up-and-utilize-ram-disks/310#post_24572234

I prefer primocache because it allows me to use more RAM, which I have plenty of, and I have more control over the cache. It caches at the block level. RAPID caches at the file level. Primocache has been pretty stable for me so far, and overall response is improved. I even have it start loading the cache at windows startup, and instead of slowing down startup, it has sped it up.
