Is this a bad Idea?
Approximatly 300-315V going into 12
12a 24V peltiers

six
240MM alloy radators gonna be blown away by it?

Yea it's a bad idea you just need a big adjustable 24v power supply also what are you using them for?

Also 1790w of power is a lot to cool with 6 240rads that's with out a heat load that will be added on top of 1790w of heat so no six 240 rads won't work you would need a lot more radiator space I am using 2x360 rads just to cool 3x 12715 at 11volt and they don't hold it under full load it just gets hotter over time

Its for cooling my custom loop, just a cpu loop nothing else.

As getting a trasnformor or a swichting power supply takes up money.
I'd rather go 12 peltiers and get more rads

I just want a piece of min of about how much raidators I need

I also don't see why your 360 can't hold them under load. I can have only turn on 4 fans giving me 240 x2 radator performance and it will keep a total of 720w power usage peliters cool. above room temps 20-22C

As the ones you have is only total of 540w of power usage

Well what cpu do you have? Also yes I have 593w of peltiers with a 210w cpu to cool Aswell so 800w with 1 360 rad with very high flow fans and it still heats up and no matter what you'll need a power supply to power the peltiers have you used them before or first time using them as in my experience you don't need 6 288w tecs to cool about 300w cpu I use 3 and I'm at -8°c right now watching videos but if you don't believe me then try putting stupid amounts of power into such little peltiers see what happens smile.gif gl also you'll need around 16 240 rads to cool 12 288w tecs to about a 10 delta all with fans on

Refer to last post
using a 9370
note that all fans were set to slowest rpm before it makes any noise.

If I was to go high rpm and blow up the volume. cooling that approximatly 3600w would be no plorbem.
3x120mm radatior with 220v 12cm fans would deffinitly be enough

I currently have approximetly 3-4C drop in room temps if I have no load, and with load 0-1.5C lower than room temps.

Also No I do not need a psw to clock down the volts for the peliters.
straight 240v regulated is money saving

Well I've been doing peltiers for years and I've never seen anyone cool 3600w with 3 120rads you might be first in the world as the delta from water temp to room temp must be about 30 so in a 20°c room your water will be 50-60°c coming out the radiator leaving you with no effective cooling with 3200 w of heat from peltiers? Maybe the cold side will be about 20°c ? But as I say you will need a power supply and some building plans and a lot of help

Why pay 350yuan just to get transformer to power 6 12a 24v peltiers.
and all of the work needed and space taked up, those transformers aren't small.
other hand switching power supply needs 3 of them to power 6 peltiers (48v 21amps) they cost 320yuan each second hand.

360MM radator is only 109yuan and its 45thick (less than 90usd)

Guess what. I had cooled 540W of peltier effectivly with just single 220v fan. If you have one you will know how power full it is.

I can't see how as I have 2x 220cfm delta fans on my phase change waterchiller and they ain't nothing better then 2x 80cfm fans as a radiator only gets rid of so much no matter what fans are used but I don't know how to help you as you ask advice I try and you say it's wrong so I'm not bothering I'm going to carry on my own Eco chiller build bye.

Ok guess like had some decent information on the cooling side of it.

Actually my main question on water chill is how much more wattage would be capable of cooling?
10C rise for 300w for 50C rise would it be just 1500W cooled
or would the wattage cooled incrace exponentially

What about saftey issues?
Will I blow the wall fuse?

I can see that there are 4000W heaters out there, so I assume I will be fine.
If anything goes wrong fuse blows and computer turns of aswell

So you want to know how much you'll need to cool with 6 tecs and your cpu?
